Hello, Arizona!
I’m Brett Newby, and I’m running to be your next State Superintendent of Public Instruction because I believe every child—no matter their background, ability, or zip code—deserves access to a high-quality, equitable education that sets them up for a successful future.
As a father of two daughters raised in Chandler, I know the hopes and concerns Arizona families have when it comes to education. I’ve walked in your shoes, and I’m ready to stand up for our students, teachers, and schools.
With a strong educational background and years of hands-on experience, I bring a unique and deeply informed perspective to this role. I hold advanced degrees and certifications in Special Education, Behavioral Interventions, Organizational Behavior Management, and Behavioral Finance—disciplines that all converge on one powerful idea: smart, compassionate, and evidence-based solutions can transform lives.
As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of students and families—especially those navigating the challenges of Autism and developmental disabilities. These experiences have shown me how vital inclusive, student-centered education is to unlocking the full potential of every learner.
I’m not a politician—I’m a problem solver. I believe in collaboration over division, and compassion over bureaucracy. My campaign is rooted in listening to the voices of educators, parents, and communities, and in delivering bold, innovative policies that uplift every Arizona student.
Education is the foundation of our future—and that future should belong to all of us.
